FIRST DAY- Arrive Ahmedabad – Lothal – Rajkot (215 Kms / 4 Hrs)
Arrive at Ahmedabad Airport/Railway Station and proceed towards Rajkot. En-route visit Lothal which literally means “mound of the dead”. Lothal is the most extensively excavated site of Harappan site in India and therefore allows the most insight into the story of the Indus Valley civilization, its exuberant flight, and its tragic decay. Arrive Rajkot and check in at hotel. If time permits visit Swamy Narayan temple built out of hand carved stones and the temple is renowned world over for its social work and humanitarian services. Night stay in Rajkot.
SECOND DAY -Rajkot – Dwarka (230 Kms/ 4 Hrs)
After breakfast proceed towards Dwarka - town of Lord Krishna. Arrive Dwarka and check in at hotel. Later visit Dwarkadish Temple. Take a holy dip in Gomti River, later leave to visit Nageshwar Jyotirling, Gopi Talav, Bet Dwarka, and on way back do visit Rukmani Temple. Evening visit other temples on coastal area, attend evening aarti at Dwarkadish temple. Overnight stay in Dwarka.
THIRD DAY - Dwarka – Porbandar – Somnath (240 Kms/ 4 Hrs)
After breakfast proceed towards Somnath. Enroute visit Porbandar – the birth place of Mahatma Gandhi and Sudama. Visit Kirti Mandir and Sudama Temple. Later drive to Somnath. Arrive Somnath and check in at hotel. Later visit Somnath Temple, a renowned Shiva Temple and considered one of the 12 Jyotirlinga Temples and one of the most visited Shiva Temples in India. Attend evening aarti and see the sound and light show at Somnath Temple premises. Night stay in Somnath.
FOURTH DAY - Somnath – Diu (85 Kms / 1.5 Hrs)
After breakfast drive towards Diu. Arrive and check in at hotel. Later proceed towards sightseeing tour covering Diu Fort. The fort has canons, which reminds one of the struggles between Bahadur Shah, Sultan of Gujarat, Mughal emperor & the Portuguese. Later visit St. Paul Church which is founded by Jesuits, Diu Museum which is collection of wooden carving, idols, shadow clocks & so many other items. Evening visit Nagoa Beach. This long, palm-fringed beach is very beautiful and quiet and is in the horse-shoe shape. The beach is safe for swimming and various water sports facilities are available at an extra cost. Night stay in Diu.
FIFTH DAY - Diu – Sasan Gir (75 Kms / 1.5 Hrs)
After breakfast proceed to Sasan Gir. It is only abode of Asiatic Lions and considered excellent for bird watching. The park checklist has 250 birds and about 50 other species (including the endangered lesser florican and the Saras crane) are recorded in the grasslands along the periphery of the sanctuary. Arrive and check in at hotel. Evening safari (optional) to explore different areas of the park. Overnight stay at hotel.
SIXTH DAY - Sasan Gir – Junagadh (80 Kms / 1.5 Hrs)
After breakfast drive to Junagadh. Arrive and check in at hotel. Later go for a sightseeing tour covering Uparkot Fort said to have constructed by Chandragupta Maurya in 319 BC, rebuilt by many kings over the centuries. The entrance of Uparkot Fort leads to a number archaeological sites, including Baba Pyara Caves, Navghan Kuvo, Jami Masjid, Buddhist Caves and Adi-Kadi Vav. Visit Durbar Hall Museum to see the glory and grandeur of the Nawabs and Sultans who have ruled there. The museum was initially a courthouse where cases were heard and was later converted into a museum. Later visit Ashok Rock Edict; rock engraved with the Buddhist edicts of Ashoka in Pali language. Evening back to hotel. Overnight stay in Junagadh.
SEVENTH DAY- Junagadh – Gondal – Ahmedabad Departure (310 Kms / 6 Hrs)
After breakfast drive to Ahmedabad. Enroute visit Navlakha Palace and Vintage Car Museum at Gondal. Later drive to Ahmedabad Airport/Railway station for onwards journey.
